Thanks to the robust housing and fabrication, the device is very durable. Our tests confirmed that the DS-9500 continues its recording when falling off a desk and survived the tests without any impairments (drop tested up to 1.5m). Also, the coating is alcohol resistant, allowing you to clean the device hygienically.
Intelligent Two-microphone System
The Intelligent Two-microphone System controls the directionality of each microphone for its intended purpose. For conference recording, the system controls the directionally of the 2 microphones into a 90° layout, which enables high quality recording in a realistic stereo feeling.
Device PIN Lock
In addition to securing the data, the DS-9500/9000 Device Lock feature protects the device from unauthorised access using a 4-digit PIN code, making sure all data stays off limits to unauthorised individuals and also assisting with being GDPR in Ireland compliant.

High quality low-noise microphone
The new DS series incorporates low noise omni-directional microphones which are also used in our consumer flagship LS-P1 PCM recorders. The shock absorber which covers the microphone unit reduces touch noise from your hand to the body.
Studio grade Pop-Filter
The microphone housing now includes a triple layered pop-filter, which blocks the wind noise generated from the mouth when talking into the microphones. This pop-filter has the same construction as the filter used in the recording studios.

The Olympus AS-9000 Transcription Kit is the perfect companion to the Olympus DS-9500 Professional Digital Dictation Recorder.
The New Olympus AS-9000 Transcription Kit provides a complete end-to-end solution for businesses needing to manage and transcribe their dictation files over a seamless and secure workflow management system.
Quickly route and prioritize files within your organization over the in house network server, through email, or even through FTP. The AS-9000 also makes seamless integration with Nuance® Dragon® Speech Recognition products, like Dragon Medical Practice Edition 4 or Dragon Legal Group, simple and problem free.
The new redesigned user interface of the Olympus Diction Management System (ODMS) Release 7 makes set-up simple and navigation a breeze. With the AS-9000 you will be able to play back your encrypted files from Olympus professional dictation devices that make use of the 256-bit AES encryption. You can not do this on third party transcription programs.
The Olympus AS-9000 makes for a complete business solution when used in conjunction with the Olympus DS-9500, DS-7000 and DS-3500 Professional Digital Dictation Recorders (or previous Olympus recorders). This Olympus Transcription Kit also will transcribe recordings made with Philips Digital Recorders (all models using DSS Mode for the DPM8000, DPM7000, DPM6000 and older models.).

It allows easy transfer from the voice recorder to the secretaries office.
Besides the DSS Player Standard Transcription Module, the kit also includes the RS-28 footswitch and the E-102 stereo headset to make hands-free operation of the DS-2400 possible.
The basic transcription kit AS‑2400 guarantees a convenient transcription of audio files. The included 3 button USB foot pedal allows the user to control the DSS Player Standard software with his foot to have the hands free for fast typewriting.
The simple graphical user interface allows a quick start into the audio transcription world of professionals. Several audio codecs established in professional dictation are supported.
